How To Become a Vampire
I was looking at some search stats and noticed that this question (how to become a vampire?) was more common than you might expect. Every day, nearly 100 people were looking for a way to join the ranks of the stylish undead. “An interesting topic for a little tutorial”, I thought. Hence this post.
It seems the jury’s still out on how, exactly, vampires are created. Some sources cite ancient beliefs (mostly useless superstition), some insist on the popular bitten-by-vampire myth, and some claim that you simply can’t “become” a vampire if you’ve been born human. Maybe there’s no single way. So, instead of focusing on any of the aforementioned approaches, I’ll describe three common vampiric features that you can attain without any supernatural help.
Hypnotism (AKA Mesmerism)
“True” vampires have it easy – some mind-control skills are supposedly included in the whole dark revenant package, along with good looks and sharp teeth. But don’t despair, … wait, no, despair is cool. Ahem. As I was saying, hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming are well within the reach of mere mortals, so you are free to learn and use it – even if your heart is still beating. To get an (optimistic) idea of what you might achieve, take a look at Derren Brown. He’s done some very impressive things (videos).
Night Vision
Excellent low-light vision is something I’ve always wanted. You can improve your night vision by using a few tricks, and science might eventually figure something out.
The most promising idea I discovered is NightWalking. The website has a heavy slant towards philosophy/spirituality that reminds me vaguely of Carlos Castaneda, but it also contains a detailed guide on improving your peripheral vision. As you might already know, in a situation when there’s very little light, peripheral vision is much more effective than central vision. Better peripheral vision = better night vision, so this is definitely something worth trying.
Dark and Mysterious
The “dark” part won’t be a problem – just pick something from the wide range of goth stuff available. Maybe invest in coloured contact lenses and/or appropriate makeup.
As for being mysterious, well… * nods and smiles knowingly *
Ah, okay, I’ll be more verbose. There’s a bunch of lame tutorials about “how to be mysterious” on the web, but they’re generally a crazy mix of the somewhat useful and the completely ridiculous. In my opinion the coveted “aura of mysteriousness” is a pinch of secrecy + a certain form of inner confidence. And it’s not the kind of confidence that lets you approach strangers and sing on stage. I’m talking about the kind that frees you from seeking external validation of your thoughts, actions and existence. This is something that very few people have, but it can be learned. Think.
Miscellaneous Thoughts
I suspect most people in the “how to become a vampire” crowd are looking for a shortcut to becoming cool (is that a pun?). That is understandable. My main reservation about this is that it’s an unlikely shortcut — and that most wanna-be’s don’t really understand what they’re asking for when they say “I want to be a vampire!”.
Personally, I consider the concept of blood-craving bona-fide vampires unrealistic. I haven’t seen any reasonable biological explanations for it, and the idea that “it’s magic!” doesn’t do it for me on this overall low-magic planet. Psychic vampirism is a different thing entirely, but there’s generally nothing glamorous about being unable to sustain your existence without becoming a (possibly unknowing) parasite. Okay, parasitism might not be the only way, but I won’t discuss that here.

Hello people. I’m just saying most of you that are trying to get these vampires to change you, like I have, is wrong. They don’t want you to have to go through so much pain and regret. But i do agree with some that should be changed…maybe people with dark auras, but i don’t know. I’m not a normal person and never have been….i just hope everyone can take a second and really think all that stuff through. sigh….
are all of you people insane? i am a vampire i was changed because of my inhuman powers me and my other clan members mackenzie anabella and demelza. have gone through the pain of the change we become pale because we have all the blood drained out of our body because our heart has stopped beating. the venom of the vampire is then ejected into where we were bitten then it travels through our body killing us taking over the blood and mixing with it. this takes about 48 hours or a tid bit more. it is a horrifying and painfull experience. you will usally remember only large things of your human life.

Unfortunately, Vincilia, no one listens anyways. There have been quite a few of these people who will just not quit and stop trying to have us change them. I was born vampyre (as it is supposed to be correctly spelled) and even being born this way, it still is a burden and quite painful.
I will admitt that I have tried to get many vampyre to change me Littelle but it weird that i would know what ya”ll go through i write stories of ya”ll.
That is quite interesting. I don’t care for many people revealing our true selves to humans however. Most of us are quite solitary. Key word there is MOST…
The weird thing is, I can feel my stories within me….most of the time it’s the pain sometimes the romanticies. I don’t like one of my stories,because it is completely false….but once I found out through a vamprye friend of mine of who your kind really are. I feel kinda bad about trying to get one of these vamprye on here to change me…knowing how much pain it could cause both of us.
ok I’d like to point out that I do have the palest skin u have eva seen, 2 pairs o pointy teeth(the top 1’s r more pointy) I went thro this faze where I would think blood tasted good (back when i was upsest wit vaps) But I havnt been fr almost 1 year, n just recently I have dreemed about bittin my arm, n havin blood spill out as I drank it, wantin more…… That was after my upsestion. some people may think that that makes me a vamp…. I think thats bull!!!!! Now then I sugest some 1 Show me a real vap cause there ant no way I will belive other ways!!!

Excuse me, Maddie, but you may not realize how many of us here that you’ve just offended. Some of us here are quite older than you may think us as. I myself am far older than you may think I am. I may only remember the last 600 years, but I know that I’ve been through far more experiences than that. You’d better watch what you say here, I’m very easy to anger and it’s not fun when I am. N I dont mean to afeand u, (n I dont usaly get so rilled up…) I supose its the fact that wat eva I belive in seems to disapear in front o my eyes. So i have decided, that I will not belive till i see!! I already see plenty o ghosts, so i belive in dem, I also belive in a buss station n such. But i how eva dont (yet) belive in vaps, or living a life wit no money probs, (cuse as u can see most peeps, got no money at all, in this time in life)
Just because 1 person dosnt belive dont mean that another wont, so u dont have to take it to heart…. Fr instance if I were to tell u that I am increadablt gorgess, u may not belive me cuse u havnt seen me, how eva some 1 who has seen me would. That at the moment is how I am like. If vamps were real, I would suspect that most o em have lived ova 1000 o years. So u might not want to go accusin me o wat i might n might not kno….. But then i again I might not kno anythin..^^

I dont know,but i think me and my friend are part vampires.Here is the full story.Well, we both started reading the twilight series,and weve noticed changes.We can run faster,we are stronger,i can read her mind,then ill go stare at something and then i see visions,but not full.She always sees the rest and it always happens.We can smell blood and crave it,our eyes change color to our mood,and sometimes when i walk the dog i find myself sometmes going into a crouch.So are we?
I thought fr sure I was gonna get alot of mouth after my last email, but it seems I’ve only pissed 1 vamp off, (that is if such a thing were real) but it seems the only thing people want to belive in, is there amaganation, now that really is a wonderfull gift, but has any1 on this site eva seen a vamp face 2 face?? Or has it all been a buch of ballony?? some might ask why I am being such a butt, thats because I had my only friend kill by a so called vamp, that she had met on this site. they planned to met on the border of mexico. He had sent hr a photo so she knew wat he looked like, n she sent him a photo…. She had video taped the whole thing live so I could watch it at the same time that it was happening……. The tape showed the same man, standing above hr with a crow bar raised over his head…. The camra she was tapping with was hidden on the inside of hr jaket. New tecknolagey made it so that camra could she throu the coat with a whole that was imposible to see, so he couldnt of seen it. He took that crow bar that was over his head n brought it down wit such force that it broke hr head… he kept beeting hr till she was a magled peice of death… They found hr body in the ocean, 2 months l8er…..

Maddie, as that was an unfortunate circumstance and somehow related to this site, I’ve seen and spoken with my share of true vampires. My mate is a hybrid as well as my best friends and an old friend of mine who I haven’t seen in quite a while. I don’t give out names other than my own for any one…. However, Maddie, just because someone was claiming they were a vampyre, and killed someone with some object, doesn’t mean that they are or aren’t vampyre. Some of our kind are quite mean and cruel unfortunately which is how we obtain a bad name for the rest of us who are really quite respectful. But I must agree with you that not everything you read you should believe, let alone some things you see (especially on the news reports).
