Eternal Rickroll – A Firefox Extension/Prank

Have you ever tried to rickroll your friends and/or coworkers, but were thwarted by their unexplainable mistrust of the YouTube links you sent them? If your answer is “yes” then you are a very evil person… and I’ve got just the addon for you!

“Eternal Rickroll” is a Firefox extension that, once installed, will automatically replace any and all YouTube videos the user tries to watch with the famous Rick Astley song “Never Gonna Give You Up”. The extension works both with videos on youtube.com and with YouTube clips embedded in other sites, and will automatically turn on autoplay for embedded clips.

Compatible with FF 2.0 – 3.0.*, barely tested, may cause a temporary decrease of IQ. Inspired by the latest scary resurgence of the meme and general tendency to procrastinate in lieu of fixing my buggy scripts 🙂
